Alcoholic Beverages

Texas law prohibits the sale and/or service of alcoholic beverages to anyone under the age of 21 years.  No alcoholic beverages shall be brought into the banquet or meeting rooms unless supplied by the hotel.  No alcohol is allowed in the Hospitality Room (Crockett West) at any time.  There will be an open bar at our Banquet on Saturday night in Fiesta ABC.  We cannot bring our own alcoholic beverages into those rooms.  See Founder’s Parlor below for drinking information.

The 501 Lounge is recommended for the place to purchase alcoholic drinks in the lobby area of the hotel.

Americans with Disabilities Act

The hotel wishes to make its facilities reasonably accessible by persons with disabilities as required by Title III (Public Accommodations and Services Operated by Private Entities) of the Americans With Disabilities Act.  If you have a special need, you must at the time you register with the hotel, notify them of your need.  If you need wheelchair access, please notify the hotel at least thirty days before our event is scheduled.

Crockett West Hospitality Room

The Crockett West Hospitality room will be open each afternoon and evening, except when the Saturday night banquet is in progress.  It will be managed by us with the hotel locking the room when no one is present.  This room will be used for our meet and greet for Thursday afternoon and evening and then available for you for meeting and greeting each other as needed by you for the rest of the reunion stay.   We will have plenty of food, deserts, coffee, sodas, ice tea, and water for Thursday evening, so no need to have dinner/supper before coming on Thursday.  Snacks and drinks will be available each day in the Hospitality room.

Founder’s Parlor (15th Floor)

Because of the strict Texas Law and the hotel alcohol policy, the hotel has graciously allowed us to set up our own bar in a private location on the 15th floor (Founder’s Parlor).  The 15th floor is exclusively ours to use.  You may bring in your own beer, liquor, and wine and drink to our hearts content without breaking any State rules on the 15th floor.  So please bring your entire beverage inventory to the Founder’s Parlor.  (Robert Hardrick, our host, will have the key.)

Besides the booze, Jay will undoubtedly be showing Vietnam pictures throughout the evening hours when the Founder’s Parlor is open.  Please note that the Founder’s Parlor will accommodate about thirty-five guests at a time.  The Hospitality Room (Crockett West) will also be open at the same time for non-alcoholic drinkers.

Parking

We negotiated a discounted overnight self-parking rate of $18.00+ per day with our discounted rate which includes in and out privileges.  Day guests visiting but not staying at the hotel will pay $9.00 for parking, with no in and out privileges.  Please contact the hotel directly for special parking pricing on RV’s, Campers, and vehicles with trailers.

Pet Friendly Hotel

Yes, you may bring your pet (dog or cat) to stay during your time here.  They discourage large animals.  No Pit Bulls or Rottweilers.  Note:  If you are sensitive or allergic to pet hair, etc., ask for a room that is on a floor with no pets.  They perform a deep cleaning of all rooms after pets and their owners have checked out of the hotel.

Compliance with Laws and Hotel Rules & Policies

Hotel 2/5 San Antonio Reunion 2019 as a group agrees to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and hotel rules and policies governing our agreement and event, including any rules, regulations or requests of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
